NOI DUE (literally “us two”), placed beautifully in the Agoura Hills of California, is a fine dining experience with a northern Italian atmosphere dawning white tablecloth service with Red Carpet treatment to go along with it. Greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly smile, our waiter quickly brought out a shrimp cocktail in Salsa Rosa appetizer. Adorned with fresh jumbo shrimp, avocado, and the tiniest bit of shredded greens with a deliciously light cocktail sauce it truly set the tone for a star-studded performance
The Burrata Cheese with Cream of Tomatoes was fresh as it was scrumptious. The star of the show was clearly the dinner special, a fish stew of mussels, shrimp and clams; not currently on the menu but a surprise performance I will never forget. And, just when I thought I had died and gone to heaven, out came the Chicken Panini with Chef Daniel’s, house-made artisan roll; buttery with a hint of sweetness surrounding the tender chicken with a crisp Caesar Salad co-star.
NOI DUE Chef Daniel Gallo studied in Naples and upon completion served in several notable restaurants in Italy. Prior to NOI DUE, Chef Daniel directed his staff as Head Chef at DoForni in Venice, Italy; an award-winning contemporary Italian cuisine restaurant. Most definitely, an affair to remember.
